Work Text:

Long before heaven's glowing spires clashed with the Abyss's fiery chasms, when the Veil between realms was just a fragile shimmer made by young gods, two children defied the cosmic order.

The angel, Park Sunghoon, and the devil, Lee Heeseung.

A tale, still spoken of today, that redefined just how far one could go for love.

Sunghoon was a young angel then, barely ten years old, his delicate porcelain wings too weak for flight, his icy eyes full of wonder as he chased glowing butterflies along the Veil's edge. He was born with the grace of a swan, and the ethereal beauty of the galaxies. His eyes held constellations like no other, as if he were predetermined to be celestial.

One dusky evening, a storm of chaotic energy tore through the barrier—shadowy tendrils grabbing the little angel, pulling him toward the dark void below.

From the smoky depths came Heeseung, a devil boy the same age, his small black horns shining like polished stone, tail whipping like a lifeline.

Bold and determined, Heeseung lunged up, claws gripping Sunghoon's wrist just in time. Heeseung was born as the heir of hell, his hair as fiery red as pits of lava. His eyes were fierce yet gentle to the rare kind, and his face seemed to crafted by the finest hands of Lucifer.

"Hold on, angel," The red-haired devil boy said, voice steady despite the strain as he pulled the angel back through the rift, both tumbling into the misty space between worlds.

Sunghoon coughed, feathers messy, looking at his rescuer with teary awe.

"You..you saved my light," he whispered, holding Heeseung's hand tight.

They spent secret days in that foggy in-between—sharing glowing berries, racing over cloudy fields, laughing at forbidden games. Two children, two hearts learning to race faster for the other. Their innocent minds led them to believe that it was okay for the descendants of two rival gods to ever be together, that their growing adoration and love wasn't forbidden and taboo.

Heeseung showed how to skip stones across lava pools without burning; Sunghoon wove starry flowers into the devil's wild hair.

"Promise we'll always meet like this," Sunghoon said one starry night, their pinkies linked under shooting stars.

Heeseung's fiery eyes softened. "I promise on my eternal life."

But it all ended when the elders found out.

Heaven's leaders swooped down in a blaze of light, trumpets blasting about corruption.

Hell's rulers rose up, cracking fire lashes.

"This mixing ruins both worlds!" declared Archangel Gabriel, grabbing Sunghoon's wings.

"Light and dark can't touch!" A hell lord yanked Heeseung’s horns back, growling, "He's tainted—end this forever!"

The kids sobbed rivers of tears—Sunghoon's sparkling like crystals, Heeseung's steaming hot.

"No! Seungie, don't go!" Sunghoon cried, reaching out.

Heeseung fought back, voice breaking, "Hoon-ah! I'll find you again—I swear!"

That night, the Veil became a solid wall, sealing their worlds apart. Heartbroken, they grew up haunted by memories, silently vowing to meet again.

Centuries went by like shooting stars.

Sunghoon became a high-ranking angel, guarding the unbreakable Veil of starlight and holy power. His white wings gleamed like fresh snow at dawn, icy eyes sharp as glaciers.

He seemed pure, but that childhood longing ate at his heart, dreams filled with a devil's gentle gaze.

Deep in the Abyss's winding caves, Heeseung rose as a devil prince. Curved black horns topped his red hair, lean body rippling with hellish strength, wrapped in smoke that smelled of fire and desire.

His voice could tempt souls, but he stayed soft for one—the angel he'd saved and lost.

On a rare twilight that occured only once a few centuries, with purple light washing over the Veil, a quake broke the silence—Heeseung using the weakness of the eclipse to his advantage, cracking it open a little.

Sunghoon's wings flared, sensing the intruder.

A smooth voice slipped through: "You look wrapped in nothing but heavenly temptation, angel. Call me fallen, but I'm falling deeper for your purity."

Sunghoon's breath caught, memories rushing back. "How did you break through... Hee..?" Heart pounding, he floated down to the edge, peering into the red glow below.

There stood Heeseung, outlined by jagged black spikes, tail flicking with held-back longing—a prince now, eyes bright with old joy mixed with years of pain and yearning.

Their gazes locked—ice on fire—and time froze.

"Stay on holy ground until your strength fails," Heeseung said softly, lips curving with care. "No more prayers, my light. Let me guide you."

Sunghoon should have fled, called down heaven's bows. But old bonds pulled him in.

"This breaks every holy law... but it's you," he said, voice trembling as he slipped through the crack against all rules, feathers lightly singed by hellish warmth.

They crashed into a hug, foreheads together, breaths mixing.

Sunghoon's icy eyes filled with tears, spilling like diamonds down his cheeks. "Heeseung... my savior, my shadow," he whispered brokenly, clutching the devil's attire.

Heeseung's face went completely soft, horns tilting as his clawed hands cupped Sunghoon's face, thumbs wiping the tears. "Shh, my light. I've crossed worlds and ages for you. You're safe with me."

They stayed like that for hours, then days—sharing stories of lost years, gentle touches on old scars, Heeseung fixing singed feathers with oils from hell flowers, Sunghoon singing holy songs that calmed the flames.

They alternated visits on either side of the Veil, hidden from others who would dissent.

They held back, their reunion enough for now, though desire simmered underneath.

On the fourth night, in the ruined cathedral at the Abyss's heart—stained glass in red and black shards, altars cracked like broken promises, echoing their childhood hideout—passion finally broke free.

Heeseung snuck the angel inside, like a worldly teenager would their lover.

Moonlight poured in, casting sinful glows. Heeseung pulled Sunghoon close, voice warm and low. "The night deepens, but my watch over you holds." His claws traced Sunghoon's jaw lightly, lifting his chin.

Sunghoon trembled, his walls crumbling. "We... shouldn't—but I can't hold back anymore."

Their lips met deeply—angel softness giving way to devil heat, tongues like reunited friends. Wings spread as hands explored; Heeseung's fingers wove into silky hair, tugging gently for a sigh.

"Let me take you to a new sacred place," Heeseung breathed against his neck. "Tell me your deepest secrets, angel. What weighs on your soul?"

Heeseung laid Sunghoon against the altar, peeling off glowing robes to reveal porcelain skin shining softly. Sunghoon pulled at Heeseung's leather attire, uncovering hot skin marked with pulsing runes. "Touch me, like destiny forbade us then."

They sank onto velvet-covered stone, bodies moving in sync. Heeseung's mouth trailed heat down Sunghoon's neck, teeth grazing bone before sucking a nipple until Sunghoon arched, "Mmmh..hah!"

Heeseung's tail wrapped Sunghoon's thigh carefully, spreading legs slowly, almost reverently.

"Let me make you holy like this," he whispered, fingers sliding to warm slickness, one then two curling to hit that spot. "I'm drawing you into our bond," Heeseung said softly, holding wings that were spread out, soft feathers trembling.

Sunghoon's pleas echoed off the walls. ”No more waiting, my sin. I’ve waited enough.”

The devil revealed his hard length, pushing in slow, filling with shared groans.

The angel’s back arched like the curve of his halo, hypnotising Heeseung with his beauty. "Gods, so full.. hngh! You're overwhelming, my fire!"

They rocked together—Heeseung deep and steady, Sunghoon's legs around him, heels digging in. Skin slapped rhythmically; Sunghoon's halo flickered dimmer, "Yes! Harder, Heeseung—nhh!"

"I'll keep you until dawn," Heeseung promised, flipping so Sunghoon rode him, claws scratching with love.

Sunghoon's wings wrapped around them, climax hitting hard—seed spilling on Heeseung's chest. Heeseung followed, filling him with heat.

Afterward, Heeseung stroked the scorched feathers. "Don't misunderstand my blaze," he murmured. "I know it weighs on you."

"It does..but I'd burn for you anytime," Sunghoon said, kissing deeply. "Every night."

The crack remained, their meetings grew hotter: holy chains breaking.

Whispers of the widening fracture spread like wildfire through both realms, growing into a roar that could no longer be ignored.

Sunghoon's increasingly singed feathers during patrols drew sharp eyes from his angelic brethren; faint holy glows in Heeseung's abyssal throne room sparked fury among the hell lords.

Ancient scrolls resurfaced, recounting the childhood breach, branding it the origin of all the unrest.

"The pact is fracturing again!" thundered Archangel Gabriel in heaven's grand hall, his wings ablaze as he rallied seraphim legions.

"That guardian angel consorts with shadow—purge the corruption before light dims eternal!"

Below, hell's overlords convened in sulfurous chambers, flames leaping as a high demon snarled, "The demon prince harbors celestial taint—his softness weakens our inferno! Drag him to chains and seal the rift with his blood if need be."

Scouts confirmed sightings: Sunghoon descending nightly, Heeseung's silhouette merging with forbidden light along dawn.

The councils mobilized—armies amassed at the Veil's borders, heaven's golden spears glinting, hell's barbed guard cracking.

Messengers pierced the crack first, ambushing the lovers mid-embrace in the cathedral.

Heavenly enforcers seized Sunghoon, binding his wings with searing light-chains that burned his flesh.

"Traitor to purity! You invite damnation!" one seraph spat, dragging him upward.

Infernal guards swarmed Heeseung, hellforged irons clamping his horns, tails lashing him toward the depths. "Weak prince, cavorting with glow-worms dulls your fire!" a demon hissed, shoving him down.

Sunghoon fought wildly, icy eyes blazing through pain. "Release me! Heeseung is no taint, he is my heart!"

His pleas echoed as they hauled him skyward, feathers tearing free.

Heeseung roared against his bonds, claws slashing guards, smoke billowing. "Touch him and burn for eternity! My light, hold on for me!"

But the forces overwhelmed, ripping them apart amid screams and clashes, depositing Sunghoon in a celestial prison of blinding pillars, Heeseung in an abyssal pit ringed by snapping flames.

Trial edicts flew: execution for pact violation, realms to be sundered further. Yet unbreakable will surged.

Sunghoon’s grace frayed in his cell, his noble rage channeling childhood memories, and their pinky promise ignited his inner light.

Heeseung’s infernal rage tempered by love, drawing on saved scars' power.

On the ordained dawn of judgment, armies amassed at the Veil. Prayers of purity clashed with hell-roars, and the lovers broke free simultaneously.

Sunghoon burst from prison in a gale of frost-wings, plowing through seraphim ranks. "I yield to no decree without him!"

Heeseung erupted from his pit, shadows exploding outward, scattering demons. "No chain obstructs what fate binds!"

Their paths converged at the Veil's pulsing core amid chaos. Heavenly bolts rained, hellfire surged.

They met back-to-back, hands clasping instantly. Armies encircled: Gabriel looming with a flaming sword, hell lords with abyssal spears.

"Surrender, abominations!" Gabriel bellowed.

A demon overlord laughed cruelly, "Your love ends in ash!"

Sunghoon's tears gleamed defiant, squeezing Heeseung's hand. "Together, as promised."

Heeseung's eyes burned soft for him alone. "Always, my light."

Light and shadow poured from their joined forms—Sunghoon's radiance fusing with Heeseung's darkness, childhood rift magic amplified by centuries' longing.

The Veil quaked violently, cracks spiderwebbing across its expanse.

Realms recoiled as power swelled.

United, they channeled everything: Sunghoon's hymns weaving protective auroras, Heeseung's temptations unraveling enemy wills.

Armies faltered, warriors clutching heads as visions of unity flooded—light embracing shadow without ruin.

With a final, earth-shattering cry, they unleashed the cataclysm.

The Veil exploded in a vortex of twilight brilliance, shards dissolving into harmonious mist.

Light flooded the abyss, shadows kissed the spires; realms bled together irrevocably.

Weapons dropped as balance restored—not war, but equilibrium.

Wings fused with horns in iridescent splendor, they ascended with souls bound as one, untouched by the awe-struck masses.

Gabriel knelt in stunned reverence; hell lords bowed, sensing new order.

No god or demon reclaimed them. In their eternal church of flame and frost, every moan became verse, every climax confession—baptizing merged worlds in passion, proving a child's vow toppled empires.
