"Celine let her words hang in the air, observing how the girls processed them. Rumi, ever caring and empathetic of those around her (often to her own detriment) was visibly distressed; worrying her lip and fiddling with the hem of her hoodie as she held back tears. Mira, however guarded and determined to present herself devoid of all emotion as she was, appeared to be equally as upset. The twitch in her jaw told Celine everything she needed to know.
