“Mikey knew that comparing trauma was useless and could be harmful to healing. But still he found himself doing just that. After all, Raph lost an eye, Donnie freaks out whenever something grazes his back, and Leo is still struggling to walk. It was all horrible. And yeah, maybe he couldn’t really hold things as easily now. And yeah, maybe he had a deep tremor in the roots of his wrist that wouldn’t go away. And yes, maybe his hands always had a bone deep pain that would flare up sometimes. But that’s all beside the point. The point is he wasn’t going to let any of that bother him. Mikey was going to be there for his brothers. Everyone is struggling, and sure he can be struggling too but it would be better if he struggled later.”
