Summary
Benedict wants to be with Sophie. He plans to marry Sophie as soon as he can. He does not want to wait, or think, or stop and listen. If he does those, he might see what he does not want to face: consequences, his own misconduct, the pain he is causing, feelings he is afraid of. Benedict has always run from things, but running towards Sophie is not the same as running away, is it?
Anthony has returned from India, and knows that his little brother has done things that he must speak with Benedict about. They must speak about his future, too: Benedict is risking everything, and the stakes are too high to ignore.
Benedict can refuse to listen, and even say Anthony should not have come home. Benedict can insist “this conversation is over“. But by God, and by their father, they are going to have it, one way or another. for everyone’s sake, and Benedict‘s most of all.
