Summary
He is shorter than the other boys, but still taller than Philza himself. His hair is a peculiar shade of pink, long and tied back in a braid that flows down his back like a waterfall. When he turns to face the king and queen, his eyes flicker over Philza’s for a moment. Deep red meets cool blue. The boy’s face is serious, his gaze holding the others with a fierce intensity and for a second the young prince forgets how to breath.

Summary
Fledglings are supposed to be loud.
Avians in general aren't the quietest of people, and when they're young, they're noisy by design. It's normal. It's good. If Phil's brothers were silent for more than 30 seconds, that's how he knew that either mischief, catastrophe, or tragedy was about to go down. A silent fledgling means something is very very wrong.
Technoblade has not made a single sound since Phil met him, and somehow that is more off putting than the fact that they're both being held against their wills. Though there may just be a correlation between those two things...

Summary
Phil was only five years old when he found the life he was leading up to that point uprooted, left abandoned deep within a forest that is said to hold monsters and demons. The last thing he had expected was for those very same monsters that he had been raised to fear to extend open arms and accept him as the newest member of their family.
Gifted with three older brothers that help him navigate the new found limbs and powers that he is developing and a new community that would give him anything his little heart desired.
All Phil wants to do though is gain enough courage to ask the cute girl that he enjoys spending time with if she will hold his hand.

Summary
The Nether is rarely silent, with grunts and huffs from bastionmates coming even in the dead of night. The ghasts never stop screaming. The sows would laugh at him the next morning when he complained about how it hurt his ears, and they’d tell him that, when he became a boar, the screams would sound like music to his ears.
The Colosseum is somewhat similar. The screams aren’t high-pitched and gratey, but they echo in his ears at night when he tries to sleep. (fun fact: he doesn’t sleep much)

Summary
The fledgling did not shriek. Making lots of noise was beneficial sometimes when faced with a predator, but it could also draw creatures of the night, which became infinitely more dangerous in close quarters. He’d learned not to scream before he’d learned he was a crow.
He drew in his feathers and backed carefully away, whipping around as soon as he had some distance. The thing in the doorway had the face of a pig and the body of a night creature, except it was the size of a golem, or nearly. It had bright dark eyes and a crown on its head, gleaming in the light from the torches.
“Flockmate,” the crow said, flying to the pig thing’s raised arm. The fledgling squawked a warning– usually the crows were smarter than this– and the pig stroked the crow’s head absently, watching the fledgling with wide eyes.

Summary
The boy was twelve when he was found.
Techno refused to give him away anymore. He refused when the boy stuck to his side and refused to leave for all but a few months. Techno learned to teach the boy that he was free and that he didn't have to kneel or offer himself for something like entertainment.
It was heart breaking to see. A child so utterly broken and abused not knowing how to be a person, not knowing how to live or even take care of himself.
Techno learned two months into the boy's rescue that his name was Philza. Philza Minecraft.

There was a split-second of silence as Technoblade watched on in absolute and utter horror as the baby avian pulled himself onto the wooden structure at the highest point of the house without a beat of hesitation.
“Phil.” Wilbur’s voice was strangled in his throat, his eyes never leaving the boy as he took a careful step forward. “Phil… P-Please don’t move.”
“Imma’ fly down Wil!” The kid exclaimed with absolute confidence. “Dun you worwe!”
And with that, before a soul in the room could even begin to form a single coherent thought, Phil stood up against the wooden ledge, shook his fluffy, underdeveloped feathers open to its maximum wingspan and jumped-

Alternatively: Technoblade only had a deaged Kidza for a day and a half but if anything happened to him, he would kill everyone on the server and then himself.

Techno drags his hands across his face. "Phil how many times have I told you, don't try to escape in broad daylight?" He whisper-yells.
"3,241 times. And none of those times have I listened," Phil deadpans. Techno screams in frustration. "You know what, this is fine. We haven't gotten caught. Yet."
Techno and Phil live in an orphanage in a world where hybrids and such are seen as rare objects and hunted for all around the world.
If only Phil did a better job at hiding his wings.
