Izuku has been in the vault for as long as he can remember, with a loving brother and father who would do anything to keep him safe. He is happy with his life, and always has been. Until he finds a note from himself claiming otherwise.
..'My name is Izuku Midoryia. I have inherited a quirk from All Might and I am going to become a hero. I have a loving mother and friends. I had a good life until my father came back into the picture. He has taken everything from me.
It turns out my father is one of the most powerful villains in existence. And in an ironic twist of fate, he turns out to be the exact one I have been training to fight. But he has kidnapped me and put me in this dam vault, and that is not even the worst part.
Every day the details of my life outside of this prison get foggier and foggier. It started with small things like what I got for my tenth birthday or what my favorite Saturday morning cartoon was. Then I could no longer recall my address or the name of the hero school I go to. He is somehow slowly taking my memories piece by piece. By the time I realized what was happening, it is too late.'

He breathes out, and the taste of gun powder stings his tongue.
He opens his eyes, and the crater that used to be a country lays proudly in front of him.
Izuku doesn't cry.
He doesn't cry, even if his eyes have gone dry with ash. He doesn't cry, even if the boy he used to call a friend is looking at him with such hateful eyes. He doesn't cry, even if his dream has been shattered into pieces, not by Kacchan, not by All Might, but by his own hands.
How can he, when he was the one who took the home of so many people and drove a sword through it? How can he, when his brother was the very villain that rained TNT from the sky and smeared this kingdom to the fucking ground?
No. He doesn't cry.
For Izuku knows he doesn't deserve it.
And yet...
And yet, he can't help the painful feeling inside his chest.
Something wet falls on his cheek, and the greenette blinks.
Oh.
It's raining.
He wonders if the world's crying for him.
