Moditimed: Communicatime
Fics in which secrets/information come(s) to light, either deliberately, or (somewhat) unwillingly, & the changes that brings.
A mix of events coming to light earlier than in canon, or during/after the fact, thus changing the (longterm) outcome; (occasionally involves brief time travel). Also fics where a particular (canon) line/conversation is a catalyst for communication &/or change.
Mostly short-ish/er, minimal to moderate impact on the long-term timeline (though possibly major impact on relationships)

Summary
“Your dad,” Sokka starts, then swallows hard. “Your dad dueled you, burned half of your face off, and then banished you because you spoke when you shouldn’t have?”
Guilt festers and bubbles like black tar in Zuko’s chest. “I didn’t just speak. I questioned and insulted one of his highest-ranking generals—but the man was planning a massacre! He shouldn’t have—” Zuko clamps his mouth shut, his teeth clicking together, and swallows thickly. “I mean. I found the tactic he proposed very startling, but it wasn’t my place to question such things. I’m sure he had his reasons.”
“Tui and La what the absolute fuck,” Sokka whispers.
[Zuko gets imprisoned with Sokka and Katara during the winter solstice, and some very unfortunate things come to light. Alternatively: the gaang

It’s, surprisingly, Alfred that kickstarts one of the worst days of his life.
Or: Tim doesn't realize how not okay he is until he suddenly does. The fallout is bad.

Summary
“Shit, shit, shit,” he cursed as he gripped the wrist of his injured hand, holding it above his heart. The cut wasn’t massive and, by design, not something you could stitch, but that didn’t make it any less messy or risky.
The blood thinners were not his friend right now.
A singular river of red trailed down his forearm to his elbow, then dripped onto the floor, leaving little splatters that his shoes soon smeared against the tile.
“Towel, towel, towel,” he said, spinning on his heel, gaze raking the room frantically. “Fuck—shit, there you are.”
Buck wanted fajitas, so he went to the store for the sweet onions he needed, but he got the wrong kind because he unexpectedly ran into the team, which had nothing to do with why he was crying in his kitchen--obviously, the shitty onions were to blame.
And his day just gets worse from there--as he ends up fileting off a strip of skin, bleeding everywhere, then accidentally hitting his talk-to-text and sending a ramble he never meant anyone to hear to the last person on earth to care: Eddie.

Summary
In Tim’s haze of fire, he ends up with a thought that turns everything into ice.
It’s been a year since he came back with Bruce and he never got an apology.
So Tim walks up to his older brother who’s now taken a step backward with slightly widened eyes at the smile- the cold and very wide grin that’s taken place on Tim’s face very quickly, very suddenly -and he walks straight up to the man in front of him, puts his hands on his shoulders, and knees him straight in the dick.
Casually stepping over his older brother practically crying on the edge of the platform, and ignoring the gobsmacked look shared among Tam, the security guards, and most of the press who caught it all on camera, he walks over to wooden stand with the microphone and begins nonchalantly talking about the unfortunate mistake made by someone he doesn't care about in a division that’s so unimportant he was literally thinking about shutting it down a few weeks ago.
The questions asked by the press weren’t on topic at all.
