Lifetime Collections (ID?): (Un)Characteristic
Fics in which an author has deliberately chosen to make a character act (at least somewhat) OOC (or, occasionally, more in character, thanks to bad writing/directing/executive decisions)
Often to highlight something about them as a character, &/or those around them)
(Occasionally simply in response to changed circumstances)
Some fics in which characters simply make (significantly) different choices to those made in canon,
Or which focus on character growth

Summary
This is a bit Alternate Universe – based on the idea that Michael suffered a lot of trauma over his time as Michael Knight, and Bonnie and Devon didn't always seem to acknowledge that. What if Kitt was the only one to notice his human needed more than a job and a new face, and stepped up to give it to him?

Summary
Tony has never once regretted bonding to his guide. Not when he sacrificed his football career. Not when he sacrificed his secondary career choice. Not when he sacrificed his morals in Philadelphia and Baltimore. Not when he sacrificed his pride and advancement at NCIS. It has always been his honor and privilege to hide and shelter his fragile guide. And he doesn’t regret it even now when all their secrets are coming out.

Summary
A cross between a bunny farm escapee and an ear worm (Is there such a thing as an idea worm?), this plotline has been haunting my muses for weeks:
Sharing a startling number of similarities (including troubled mothers and absentee/neglectful fathers, being strung up on flagpoles, a prolonged disillusionment and inability to fit in with early and middle school schoolmates, a propensity to being kidnapped and put in life threatening situations, being generally underestimated in their jobs, and facing on the job exposure to weaponized versions of plague and anthrax - to name a few), what if Tony DiNozzo and Spencer Reid were meant for each other, but not in the way that most of their colleagues would expect given their stereotypical jock and genius profiles.
What if Spencer has a hidden wealth of confidence and skill that his colleagues occasionally witness but only in glimpses (like the shot at the end to the LDSK case)? What if the glimpses seen of Tony's vulnerabilities, empathy, and intuition were more inherent and not just peaking out around the edges?
What if Spencer is Tony's bamf sentinel and Tony is Spencer's empathic (and emotionally fluent (?) at some future point) guide?

Summary
Tony had been undercover for six years when he met JJ at Roger's Cafe. He knew dating her was a bad idea, but it had been so long since he had actually been able to be himself with anyone.

Summary
Tag for "Missing." If there were ever any consequences for Gibbs' actions, maybe they'd look like this. And maybe Tony would react this way to finding out his Boss had feet of clay. And then, maybe, things might have evolved differently with more honesty and less put-downs. In my universe, Tony is no one's doormat and Gibbs no one's saint.
