Bookmarker's Notes
Determined to fix his relationship with his son, Eddie prepares to head to El Paso. Buck however won't let him leave without a proper goodbye. It brings an (un)surprising revelation somewhere along the i-10.
----
Having his first kiss with a man was not on Eddie's 2024 bingo card. But then again, neither was having his parents steal his son, or having to deal with the startling revelation that he was in love with his best friend (who for some reason can't stop getting hurt). If he expected a quiet time in El Paso he really should have known better. He thinks Frank would be a little proud of him though, he's never been so in touch with his feelings.
---
orA fix it, where Eddie fights to figure out who he is at his core, makes up with (and comes out to) his son and takes care of a certain firefighter who (temporarily) loses his ability to hear when a call goes wrong.

Bookmarker's Notes
“There are people after you,” he says.
Cassandra nods. “Dad. Interpol. Ra’s. Superheroes.”
“Why are you running from the heroes?”
“They want to save me so that I can fight with them instead. I do not want to fight for anyone. I do not want to be a weapon for good people or for bad people.” - R&OFB ch.13
----
Jason's not...afraid of storms, exactly. Anymore. But he remembers being a kid, living on the streets. Not being able to get inside during storms. Wondering how he would ever get dry, what he would do if he got sick. Watching shelters he'd made get swept away, watching precious food fall apart in the wet. Reminding himself again and again how unlikely it was to get struck by lightning, 270 people per year in the US, and then thinking, well, someone's gotta be one of those 270 people—why not me? So he gets it. Storms are scary. - WPBTF ch.27
