Tim was doing fine, honestly. He was taking his meds on time, he was seeing a therapist, he had friends. He was fine. Bruce was back from the dead, Tim had his own apartment, a new title, and a place in the company. He was doing the best he’d ever done. Sure, he wasn't really talking to Dick anymore, and Jason was as elusive as he'd ever been, Damian was torturing him from afar, Stephanie was almost exclusively hanging out with Cas and Babs and Tim couldn't find the guts to go actually visit Bruce, but he was fine. He was an adult, he could do this.
He was so fine. Hell, Tim was better than fine, he was thriving!

Tim blinks, "You've seen Aladdin?" It hadn't occurred to him that Damian had time for cartoon films in between eating the happiness of innocent children and planning world domination, or whatever it was that he did when he wasn't threatening the wellbeing of his family members.
Damian sniffs, somewhat scandalised, "Of course I have. Thomas and I found Grayson's old CDs."
Bruce grunts, "VHS tapes. Dick was a child before CDs were popular."
"VHS tapes," Damian amends, not even bothered by Bruce's very blatant eavesdropping, "In fact, we are to watch The Small Fish tomorrow after school."
"The Little Mermaid," Bruce corrects, amused.
(Tim comes to the realisation that he really doesn't know his youngest brother. That changes.)

Two-plus decades of self-abnegation bubble up in Martin's throat, threatening to spill over, to reassure Jon that everything's okay, not to worry, Martin's just fine. But the words die on his tongue. Maybe there was a thread of compulsion in Jon's question. Maybe it's the after-effects of that glorious, already-fading moment of SIGHT, when all the fog had gone out of Martin's head for the first time in months and Jon had stood before him, real and true and unafraid. Not only is this just a fun concept in general, but the author does a fantastic job with each perspective. It's very carefully crafted, I absolutely can believe that each of these characters would be under the assumption that they were the only one. Very lovely, very fun.

Summary
Losing Damian not only hurt beyond measure but also made Dick the last Bat standing. He had nothing keeping him in a broken world so goes back in time with only one ally (Damian begs to differ) and no plan except to protect everyone he can, at any cost.
Dick starts with making sure Jason never dies at the hands of the Joker and proceeds to track down and love his siblings (while maybe also plotting the destruction of the League of Assassins). He just doesn't realize that a clan of highly trained vigilantes are more than capable of realizing that Dick is not okay, and of returning his devotion with their own.
