Summary
(Set in "Kingdom Hearts 3" after rescuing Aqua. Canon divergent)
Lea remembered being an only child and spending all his time with Isa instead of parents that barely seemed to remember his presence. The closest thing to a sibling that he ever had was the slightly older boy that he used to consider his friend.
And yet he keeps latching onto children with Keyblades and trying to watch out for them. If he didn't stop, he was going to get himself killed (again) from acting like an older brother to these kids.

The Keyblade War is over, Xehanort is gone, and bringing Sora back is going to take time and patience. And for the first time in their entire existences, Roxas and Xion don't have a mission. They finally have the chance to be regular kids with normal lives. And Lea is going to give that to them. He's going to give them everything that they deserve and that they've been denied. And he's going to help Isa now that his friend has his heart back.
Lea nearly lost everything that he cared about once before. He's not going to make the same mistakes again. He's going to take this second chance. He can't be selfish this time. He'll be the friend that they deserve.

Summary
Nine months after Sora disappeared, Riku does not come home. But Kairi refused to be left behind again and goes after him. And because she's smart enough not to run off alone, she dragged Lea along with her.
Meanwhile, Vanitas might have found someone to help with Sora's shattered heart. But his vague plan to drop the Keyblade wielder off in the Realm of Light and immediately leave wouldn't be that simple. For once in his life, Sora has no friends to give him strength.
But while everyone continued to search for a way to bring Sora home, they begin to encounter hints of another group a Keyblade wielders who have their own agenda. One that might not be as benevolent as they might claim. They are working on a plan that stretched back to before the final clash of the original Keyblade War and the World splitting apart into countless separate ones.
A few of the guardians of light might have a talent for disrupting complicated plans. But the future is immutable once it is seen. And the Gazing Eye is always watching.
