Summary
Diluc knew something was up when Kaeya kept acting strangely. He didn’t pay any attention to Klee, completely ignored Jean and her orders, basically all of the knights. Diluc finally decides that this has gone on long enough and confronts him. Then he notices something he can’t believe he missed.

Summary
Diluc just happened to be the bartender for the night when Kaeya just happened to come in with one of his “friends.” Everything seemed to be going well until Kaeya’s companion somehow slips something into his drink that makes him loopy and destroys the filter between his brain and his mouth.
Diluc winds up having to save Kaeya before the man can give himself away. However, this also leads to Kaeya telling him some things that he probably wasn’t quite expecting (and probably wasn’t ready) to hear.

Diluc and Kaeya just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and are captured by the Fatui. Things quickly go downhill when they are imprisoned somewhere unknown in separate cells just across the hall from each other. However, Diluc is confused as to why they mostly left them alone until they finally give both Diluc and Kaeya an ultimatum.
One would have to remain their prisoner while the other was set free.

Diluc and Kaeya are on an expedition with the Traveler to Dragonspine. They find themselves fighting some Hilichurls and a couple of Mitachurls. They are then surprised by a charging Frostarm Lawachurl. Diluc tries to shield Kaeya and they both go tumbling over the edge and into a valley.
Both Kaeya and Diluc are less than impressed with the situation and show it in the only way they know how: insulting each other.

Neither Diluc nor Kaeya is very happy about this.

But it may be the first step to redeeming their brotherhood.
