Techno was sneaking out. He knew he shouldn’t be, hell, Phil had even said that it wasn’t safe for changelings to be away from magic for too long but he needed to do this. It was only the fae realm. How bad could it really be? Pretty bad actually but he was sick of being cooped up in the nest all the time no matter how much he loved curling up under Kristin’s wings! He also had to get a gift for Kristin and Phil's anniversary.
Sure, they’d already been married for thousands of years and didn’t really celebrate it too much anymore but that wasn’t the point! It was their first anniversary that HE was with them on. It’d be rude not to get them something to commemorate. Before, he had already made peace with not being able to go out and get them something with the whole “you literally cannot survive on your own” speech he kept getting but Schlatt had pulled Phil away to lecture him and Kristin was busy with court, providing Techno with the perfect opportunity to slip away for a couple minutes. They probably wouldn’t notice. It’d be fineeeee.

Summary
Techno’s mane at this point would be best described as a rat’s nest. He refused to braid it since the sheer volume of his hair would mean he needs help from his sounder. He refused to allow them near his hair. They lost that privilege the second they drugged his drink and locked him away in this room proclaiming that he’d be happier like this. As if Techno’s life goal was to be locked away in an over decorated cell, being visited occasionally by his kidnappers.

Everything was going perfect between Techno and his chosen sounder. They just had to ruin it by drugging him and locking him in a room. As a good brute does, Techno decides he needs to punish SBI so that they know to never try that again. So that they learn what a nightmare he can be for them.

Techno gets yoinked by sbi but he's chill with it. What he isn't chill about is the whole not asking him and instead drugging him thing. So he's protesting.

Summary
The problem with dying was that he didn't stay dead like he planned, so now he has his very pissed off brother chasing him down without even a shred of mercy! His legs hurt, Techno knew he hated any kind of exercise and here he is making him run for his life! How cruel is that?
He kept his ears perked to try and listen for his brother, slowing his walk even further. There was no sense in running since he’d only sweat and make it easier for Techno to track. He doubted the scent of rot and smoke that clung to his jacket did much to mask what his brother had become so fond of.

Wilbur revives and, while in limbo, forgets just how possessive his younger brother is. That's not a problem though, Techno is happy to remind him.

Maybe the snow was a blessing in that regard. A burial before a burial. He’d be hidden away in snow until the sun came and thawed him out.
A time capsule to freeze him in his last moments.“What's this that I've found?” came a voice from the treeline “a little lost soul?”
His heart fluttered with hope before crashing down again. There was an enchantment in that voice, a call to listen and obey despite no command being given yet. This was no saviour. There was no warmth in the voice, only a cold detachment accompanied by funeral bells.

Summary
There was a liver washed up on the shore.
Another one.
Phil huffed as he nudged it with his boot, baffled at where they could be coming from.
When he moved to live by the shore, he was comfortable in the fact that some weird shit might happen. He was the only person around for miles and the sea was always something that was steeped in mystery.
Due to that, he settled in the knowledge that every now and again something strange might wash up on shore and give him a bit of a fright. Strange bones, rotting carcasses and even discarded items people have just tossed out into the waves were what he was expecting.
Not livers.

Lonely ocean man should've listened to the folklore of the land and taken them as the warning they were. Gets yoinked because he's a bit too paternal to the wrong group of boys.

Summary
You couldn't survive in this part without being a henchman, no matter how lucky you were being good would kill you.
Luckily for Techno he was never particularly good in the first place, that's what got him working for The Mad Ram in the first place.
Pay was awful, most died on the job and the hours had him feeling like a walking corpse most of the time but he had at least a little security. Surprisingly few were willing to hire a 15 year old from the streets despite being literal criminals.
For some reason they thought letting him starve would be better for their moral compass.

The pitter patter of rain against his window echoed pleasantly through his den, the warm glow of his lamp bathing the dim room in yellow light. Afternoons like this were perfect for flicking his way through the old parchment of a book.
His peace was, of course, shattered when Wilbur slammed the door open to his room, temporarily stunning him from where he’d been laying on his bed.

“Oh don't be like that Techno! You know we’d both just hide whatever dent I’ve made” he cooed before shrugging off the cape he’d stolen from Techno months ago.

That was enough to stun him for a moment. It had been… a while since Wilbur accepted any affection, let alone sought it out. It felt natural to bundle him up more in his arms, shielding him away from the world under his feathers.
Wilbur was sobbing into his chest, hands clenched into his shirt. He was damaging the threading with his little claws but Phil couldn't find it in himself to care as he basked in the contact. His baby was back in his arms.
“I don’t- I don't know what I’m gonna do” he hiccuped “she left me!”

He sat cross legged on the ice, seemingly staring off into the woods before turning to them. His face was paler than usual, no doubt affected by the chilly air that was flooding the forest. A look of shock seemed to cross over his features, eyes flicking between Tommy and the kind man in green.
“He’s right there mate. Why don't you go get him?”
“Te- my brother said I should never walk out on the ice. He said it's dangerous.”
“It's no more dangerous than walking in these woods.”

Wilbur goes to his first charity ball and is tasked with making friends with the emperors son by his parents. Ever obedient, he does as told and ends up making a genuine friend that night. The only problem is that the prince is a tad possessive, deciding that he'd rather keep him than settle for something as silly as playdates. Why settle for a friend when he can have a brother, after all?

Their sons came to them on a rainy autumn night, one splattered in blood and gore. Sinew had coated his hands when he first saw them, dripping down and staining the carpet that covered the nursery's floor. Two tiny winged angels were curled up in a bassinet, crying their poor little hearts out at the commotion he’d caused killing their parents.
He’ll never forget how his heart leapt in his chest; The way it thumped against his ribs as he approached them, the way it stilled when two sets of teary eyes stared up at him.
It didn’t feel real, watching as tiny little orbs inspected him as the babes chirped to themselves. Little wings fluttered on their backs, crushed under their own weights but still moving as the chicks squirmed against each other.

Even as she watched her son's work, carrying out her will on the world and making room for a new beginning, she found her thoughts drifting to him. Maybe it was because of how he trailed behind them, doing his damndest to parent them despite all their protests and refusals.
She couldn't stop her laughs as he held onto her son's chins, drying away the streaks of blood smeared across their faces as he tutted about how messy they were. Nor could she stop the fond amusement that rose every time he threatened them with ‘calling their mother’ any time they misbehaved too severely.

He didn't know how things got like this. It had started with Techno getting sick, Wilbur following suit right after. It wasn't uncommon, Wilbur loved to sneak into his twin's room so that he could comfort him while sick. It always ended up passing onto him but he never seemed to care, too intent on snuggling with the other prince to mind a few days of illness.
They had the best doctors in the world, it wasn't like any of it mattered, at worst they'd just be given a few potions and kept under watch until they got better.
But they never got better.

Tommy has a very vivid imagination, this works against him when his older brothers let him watch a zombie movie that was far more graphic than expected. While they turn it off in time, the infected still chase him into his dreams, this time taking the form of his family.

Summary
His return from prison felt pretty… uneventful. It felt like all the action had passed mere minutes after Phil dragged him out of his enderpearl stasis chamber by the back of his shirt.
Obviously, he shouted at the man, baffled at how his best friend somehow managed to misread three days as three months. He made sure to never let the man hear the end of it while the other patched him up.
He’d gotten pretty scuffed up in the cell, burns littering his legs where he’d sat in one spot for too long. That wasn’t even mentioning the scratches his little… altercation with Quakity had caused.
Phil's reaction to all these injuries was exactly as expected, as soon as he saw them he began his fawning. He cooed down at him as if he was a helpless chick and explained every step of the bandaging and healing process as if he hadn’t gone through it a million times before.

Summary
Phil liked to think of himself as an artist.
Really, if you thought about it, that's what he was. He took what was discarded by others and turned them into wonders of art that few could even begin to imagine.
Sure, sometimes his artworks liked to rebel. Some parts simply rejected their other parts and forced him to find new materials that would actually be able to fit but that's what made it fun. It kept him thinking.
No piece of art was ever truly done, sometimes one might get a bit too reckless and a part might fall off. Luckily as a witch he was able to fix such minor mistakes. He was able to toy with the very material of reality and he could turn it into the most beautiful of pieces.

Necromancer Phil goes out to start his brand new era of art not knowing that it'll soon spiral him into becoming an immortal father to 3 undead sons
