Summary
Katsuki can’t remember what he looked like.
It seems like a crazy thing to say about his old childhood friend, about someone he spent the first thirteen years of his life with, but it’s true. He can’t remember. The memories slide out of focus in his head like grains of sand through his fingers. It wasn’t even something Katsuki noticed until it was too late, until he was waking up one day and realising that the Deku in his dream last night didn’t have a face and his memories of him didn’t, either.

Summary
The bus to USJ is loud even through Katsuki’s earbuds.
He works one of his legs up and down, heel bouncing as glares out the window. He’s the only one in a PE outfit since all the others have their fucking hero costumes and suddenly the line he’s used to drawing himself is drawn against him. He grinds and grinds his teeth and sinks the feeling under everything else.
It’s so fucking obvious. It’s so obvious how different he is from them, but now they look at him in a way that isn’t the usual deference. Now Katsuki is the kid who got attacked and the kid in the hero course who doesn’t do the goddamn hero classes. He doesn’t need their fucking attention. He doesn’t need their fucking anything.
