Summary
The Matrix must have something to fuel it as it empowers its bearer. A strong frame or a powerful spark.
Orion Pax had neither of these when he took it, and his life became limited. Thus, to ensure that the Autobots would not be destroyed in his absence, he created a means to continue on, if only in spirit. Unfortunately, the process by which he chose to preserve his position is delicate and none of his heirs have perfectly managed to embody his desires.
(Simply put: Cloning is not as perfect a solution as it seems.)

Summary
While unexpected, Orion Pax and Megatron have had their first sparkling and are beyond ecstatic. Their firstborn sparkling is perfect in their optics, but to another, the new life is a mark of corruption.
Orion Pax is no longer pure, he cannot fulfill the purpose he was trained to complete. However the new life he has brought into the world has the necessary traits to suffice in his stead.

Summary
Walking on Cybertron's surface are more than just the usual Cybertronian citizens. There are also others, those given great power but bound to rules that only they can comprehend. The Fair Folk, that is what they are called. Gifted with the ability to shift reality to their will, these beings are few and far between.
Optronix was just a dock worker, one who only heard the stories of the Fair Folk. He didn't believe that the fae could be real. But one ill fated interaction with an archivist later, he's found himself in the care of one Orion Pax and Megatron of Kaon, two very feared and very unusual fae.
