Charlie heaved a heavy sigh as he sat down with a slump in the team locker room. He was tired, extremely tired.
Coach Ted Orion at Eden Hall Academy pushed them harder than normal today because they’d been slacking and slipping into old Mighty Ducks habits that they couldn’t bring up to Eden Hall, even on the JV team.
Adam was also tired, but because of his tiredness and the stress of needing to be the best for scouts, his dad, and the sudden push from Coach Orion, he went quiet.
He pushed people away, avoiding conversations and giving short ‘yea’s when people asked if he was okay.. he just didn’t want to talk to anyone anymore.
Charlie noticed, like he always did.
