They give Izuku the time, space, and love that he needs. And he learns to live again.

Izuku is slowly falling into something like a vigilante, and Eraserhead is so often there, yet he is never unkind, never pushy, never judgemental.He is just there, and he begins to feel safe.

Izuku knows what it is to be scared of a man.
He knows what it is to stare up at broad shoulders and a square jaw and clenched fists, and fear. To know that there is a promise of violence, of cruelty, of rejection, and that there is no way to protect himself from that, nothing that he can do, or not do, to change that, except possibly not exist at all.
Which is why it is odd, now, not to be scared.
Izuku should be scared, by all rights. Yet with Eraserhead, he so often isn't, now, for better or worse. No, he might even be beginning to trust the hero.

Izuku has the best misfortune possible of being randomly time-travelled back just around fifteen years, but he is dumped in front of one Aizawa Shouta. And that, as it turns out, is a blessing.~~~
Izuku falters then, breath dying in his throat, the snap of brittle bones leaving him with the taste of iron.
"Uhm, Aizawa-kun, what year is it?" The other boy's eyes go wide as well, his hand flexing around Izuku's,
"It's 2309. June."
"Oh." There's a long, breathless pause, air caught like a hook against the roof of Izuku's mouth, and when Aizawa speaks it sounds like he might be feeling the same:
"I- I guess this isn't your year?"Trying desperately not to cry, Izuku can only shake his head, salt-choked, eyes burning, the wash of a sickening tide growing fierce in his belly. He- he's travelled back in time, and he has nothing, he can't go home, his Mum-
Izuku gets tugged forwards by the hand then, carefully so, until his shoulder is pressed against the taller boy's, a line of warmth, able to feel the rise-fall-repeat of Aizawa's breathing. It helps.
