Summary
After being harshly rejected by her parents, Rin is taken in and adopted by Kazuma. Kyo doesn't like his new "sister" and finds it hard to get along with her. After noticing this Rin doesn't a liking to Kyo either, but as weeks go by Kazuma finds them getting along and then watches his two children form a bond as they grow up together.
Their bond becomes strong and they often get along, but like all siblings; they bicker and argue sometimes. Then after Kyo witnesses a tragic accident, the bond shifts.

When the train accelerates out of the station, the man to her right accidentally bumps into her, his entire torso pressing into her side. She flashes him a gracious smile, hoping he doesn't think she's angry with him. It's a crowded train, after all, and these things happen!
But then, at the next stop, he stumbles into her as the train arrives, and again as it leaves. Then again, and again, and again. Every time the train starts or stops, he leans against her, smiling and apologizing and letting his hips rest against her for just a little bit longer.
She bites her tongue and tries not to cry. It's probably not intentional. He apologized, after all. And the train is still quite packed, and he doesn't seem that steady on his feet. It's okay. It's all okay. It has to be okay.
She gets off a stop early and walks the rest of the way to work in her new heels. Her feet are bleeding when she arrives.

Summary
Two boys finding each other in the midst of heartbreak.
After Kyo breaks things off with Tohru, and Kakeru pushes through his own breakup, the two end up finding solace in one another. At first, it's awkward. It's unusual. Talk begins to weave their lives together more and more. With Kyo struggling not to wallow in the pits of self-doubt, Kakeru begins to show him that his freedom is still worth it.
Eventually, their strange little relationship branches off into something beyond those confinements and into the blossoming of love. Kyo, however, is still in his own cloud of denial despite knowing what every sign is telling him when Kakeru is around. Kakeru, on the other hand, only wants Kyo to accept himself the same way Kakeru accepts him. Love or just hanging in the bonds of their friendship.
There are still the little struggles and moments of those around them that keep their relationship on the rocks, but if Kakeru is ready to drown for the sake of their love, then Kyo wants to be more than willing to join him.
