He'd been right behind you for a while, but you lost him somewhere. Interceptor kept barking, but since you're not really a dog person, you sort of ignored him. When you dropped off Relm, he seemed hesitant, and it's only when he came back with you to the airship that you realized. Shadow stayed behind. So you went back. To Kefka's tower.

A love letter to FFVI, a novelization of the game filtered through a Locke/Celes perspective but not wholly centered on them. Starting with that fateful meeting in South Figaro and continuing onward through the rest of the World of Balance (we'll break the world eventually). It was supposed to stick pretty close to the original — and it follows the flow of the original game story, with all the big pieces there! — but it's a bit more of an adaptation now. I've tried to breathe more life into the world, flesh out the characters and their relationships, and address some plot holes; I hope you'll enjoy my changes and still see the game we love so much at the heart of it.
Alternating POVs between Celes and Locke, but other characters and other relationships are important, too.
MOST RECENT UPDATE: Chapter 32, "Ice and Flame." In the aftermath of the fall of Thamasa, the emotional ramifications must be dealt with before preparations for the next battle can begin.

A series of one-shots surrounding the ship Edgar x Terra also lovingly referred to by fans as "Ederra" or "Edtina" or "The Desert Rose". I wanted to write some stories that have been stuck in my head as I write my major fanfiction, "The Marriage of Figaro", and decided to just unstop the stopper in my brain! You will find that chapters will feel very random; with different themes and set in different times, and sometimes may connect with others. It's not written in any order except in what pops up in my head.
