This story takes place in January 1989. (5 months before the series epilogue)
This has a lot of implied and explicit mentions of suicidal thoughts and self harming, nothing graphic, though. This is very much a character study focused on Will's mental health after everything he's gone through, and how his powerful love for Mike has been saving his life.
This story will have two parts, the first one being the whole week Will and Mike spend together at the cabin. The second part? You'll find out eventually hehe

They have been partners for years, and they still are. They're just a different kind now, I guess? After making the drastic (and arguably psychotic) plan to leave the hitman business, Kazuki and Rei are forced to make a huge life transition. They have to become normal people. As they work together to adapt to this new and confusing life they find themselves developing new and confusing feelings as well. A continuation of what the anime set up, they are just two "best friends" trying to find a way through their mental illness, past trauma, and their everyday lives together. Unless, maybe there's more to it than that?
I wanted to dive into their near future but also elaborate on their past. So every chapter I am trying to include a current event and a related memory.
