Sam's in a state of high stress after a taxing mission. Only Bucky knows how to bring him down and Sam loves to let him.
It's silly, Bucky muses. Sam's only agonizing over every little second he could have possibly shortened the inner torment for the hostages. Which at this point is futile. They're free now.Bucky doesn't say anything, he lets Sam wallow in his misery because Torres is sitting across from them on the jet and the real way Bucky wants to comfort Sam is apparently "not appropriate" for spectators. At least that's what he's been told by Sam.
