May 23rd was also supposed to be her birthday— did he remember that fact? Was it to rub salt in the wound? Or was it a sick twist of fate; a joke, the universe's attempt at humor- thanks for that.
Aubrey was 14 years old. Aubrey's dad had been sort of strict about these things.. and now, Aubrey's dad was gone.
The next day, Mari was at her doorstep, an OTHERMART bag tightly clutched in her right hand.
"I've gotten purple as well-" she softly spoke, holding up the contects of the bag. "Just like i said i'd get eventually."
OR : Mari brings her little sister back to her house, and dyes her hair.

This story takes place 2 years after the True Ending of Omori. Sunny and Basil end up homeless for reasons that will be explained later. They now wander the streets of the City Sunny moved to after the ending of the game. The city used in Omori Reverie will be my inspiration for most of where this story takes place, but some things may be different or added for the sake of a more expansive story. This AU was inspired by a piece of artwork made by gwuen on YouTube, with their permission to use the concept and idea.

"What the hell is your problem?!" Kim was on her feet before Sunny could even blink. The booth screeched in protest as she shoved her way out, her face flushed red with explosive anger. She closed the distance between them, her hands balling into fists.
"Are you blind, you freak?" Kim snarled, stepping into Sunny's space. She pulled her arm back, ready to strike.
Sunny didn't flinch. He braced himself, waiting for the impact.
It never came.
A hand shot out, grabbing the sleeve of Kim's jacket and yanking her backward.

In an AU where the recital went well. Mari got into college, Sunny is never a shut-in and Aubrey is still a delinquent.
Through old memories, quiet moments and shared routines, the two of them start growing closer than either of them realizes.
