So…this it was. The time has come. Gustave stepped closer, next to his mother. As Olivier stood up, he was comically taller than both of them. Which one was more nervous? Definitely not Samia. She was smiling at both of them. Excited to finally meet a new person. Anyone close to Gustave. Not saying aloud, she was eager to talk with such a handsome man.
"Olivier, this is…m-my mother Sa-"
"Samia Kateb! My pleasure to meet you." Olivier offered his hand, but she went for a bear hug.
"Oh-" Olivier looked at Gustave who was even more confused. "M-Me too…" He gave Gustave the look 'mother'?
"Maman, this is Olivier, my…colleague and b-best friend."
