His attempts at college had been geared towards some form of math, but it hadn’t really worked out.
Up until a few hours ago he’d been bouncing between cities and dead end jobs, hoping to find some sense of purpose.

Summary
Optimus spun, his battle mask snapping into place as his ion cannons materialised from subspace. His optics widened as a massive, grey tiltrotor aircraft hurtled out of the sky, slamming into Bumblebee with bone-rattling force. Optimus rushed toward Bumblebee, pushing the smaller bot up. “Bumblebee, are you functional?” he asked, concern clearly in his tone. Bumblebee nodded, rubbing the scuff marks on his backplates.
The situation grew more dire as the aircraft dove toward them again. Optimus braced himself, but something felt... off. As the craft neared, it began to shift. The aircraft… transformed?? A Cybertronian? Oh Primus was that…“Megatron?” he whispered

Summary
On a post-war Cybertron, Knock Out decides to deal with his problems by *not* dealing with them--instead, he orchestrates a 'friends-with-benefits' situation with none other than Optimus Prime as a distraction. Oh, did I mention that he's got the same arrangement with Ratchet? Not that either Optimus nor Ratchet are actually aware of the other fling taking place. Knock Out doesn't see the harm in it.
This all happened because Optimus and Ratchet are struggling with their feelings for one another, and again, instead of dealing with this slag like adults they both retreated to casual sex with Knock Out. The arrangements work out for all parties and Knock Out has no trouble keeping the details a secret.
It's easier than facing the truth--at least it was, until the speedster realises he's developed feelings for the two mechs, who are already unknowingly in love.
