Summary
Mike looks up at him through his lashes. Will is close, hands moving to rest on Mike’s thin biceps, squeezing gently. His mouth is hanging slightly open, his chest rising and falling quickly. His face is dusted with a soft pink shade, while his pupils are blown wider than Mike has ever seen them.
Mike's gaze shifts down again, unable to stop himself. His eyes scan over the expanse of Will's neck, shoulders, chest, and abs until his eyes finally reach the bulge of Will's pants. Mike swallows thickly, his gaze flicking back up to Will's eyes.
OR, Mike and Will spend the summer after high school in a mostly secret relationship, sneaking around and having their first sexual experiences together.

He liked people more than he liked places; he always had, and right now, he was in one of his favorite places with his favorite person in the world.
He swallowed with some difficulty, shifting on his spread knees a bit in a way that made them splay open even further, the stretch of his thighs making him groan, eyes fluttering. His hands were wrapped tightly around the top of Will’s calves, flexing with the urge to reach down and palm himself through the boxers that he was wearing.
There was a hand in his hair, just resting there, occasionally scratching gently at his scalp, ruffling his curls.

“Noon,” Max corrected, as if she hadn’t only woken up thirty minutes before him.
“Wow,” he replied, squinting at the light. “Nobody thought to wake me?”
It happened casually after that, so casually it almost didn’t register at first. El laughed at something Lucas said, then turned toward Mike and leaned in, instinctively, easily, pressing a kiss to his lips like it was the most logical way to say good morning to him.

Summary
When Will came out, he was relieved to be accepted by the people closest to him, especially Mike, and especially after Will made it clear to Mike that he was his crush. It was just a silly, stupid crush that really wasn’t about Mike at all. The best part is, Will got over it quickly, and they were able to laugh it off and remain friends. Things have been solid since he let those feelings go. That dumb high school bullshit is in the past. Their friendship is far too important to dwell on a crush that is doomed to be unreciprocated.
Imagine Will’s surprise when he catches Mike in a Chicago gay bar making out with another man.
Turns out, Mike is gay. So, what now? What is he supposed to do with this information? More importantly, what does that mean for them?
Friends? No thanks.
Best friends.
