Summary
Solfinnur was the clan chief's son, picked as a hostage bride by the foreign king Kerem for being an omega. To seal the peace with the foreigners, who bested them in battle, Solfinnur agreed. After a wedding ceremony he had not anticipated to be that way at all, he will move to the foreign capital and learn to be the consort of king Kerem. Which turns out to be quite different from what he had imagined. Kerem is far more accomodating of Solfinnur's wishes than he thought. At the same time, the religious practices of his new home are different, and the priestesses do expect the king and consort to take their places in the public fertility rituals. Which look a lot like orgies to Solfinnur. Also, Solfinnur finds out he likes some 'weird' stuff in bed. Kerem is very accomodating.
This series was born of an urge to write something about a forced marriage and its consummation (A Consort's Wedding). It turned out to be a pair of wildly horny plotbunnies, so the stories was continued in A Consort's marriage, taking up where the first story left off. As Kinktober was on, a promptlist was convenient and gave further inspiration. BDSM relationship in main story will evolve.

Sometimes, when Jean shows up, the soft rev of his motorcycle announcing his arrival, James joins him and they work in comfortable silence together. Other times, James steps into his backyard after a day out of the house, and the only signs Jean has been there are the neatly trimmed bushes, weedless soil, and a basket full of fresh vegetables sitting on the back steps.
5 AM for a student-athlete who had played a tough game the night before is just too early for James to let slide. He sighs and flicks on the coffee machine before making his way outside.
