Dick wasn’t quite sure what he was expecting after Talia’s call. She only told him it was an emergency and asked for his address, and she sounded more worried and stressed than he had ever heard her.
Despite Bruce’s warning about how easily he trusted people these days, he gave her his actual address instead of one to his most presentable safehouse. It was Talia, the woman who taught him all about poisons and ancient dancing styles, who went to all of his competitions for two years, when she used to live with them in the Manor. Talia whose eyes always laughed when she saw him climbing the furniture or the chandeliers. So, he gave her the address to his apartment in Bludhaven and anxiously waited for her arrival.
He didn’t know what to expect, but it certainly wasn’t Talia with colourful sling wrapped around her body and an honest to God baby.

Tim snorts. “You just felt threatened by the demon’s genes and didn’t want to lose your ‘I’m taller than you’ card.”
“And look at that, now I won’t.”
“Hey, kiddo, you okay?” Dick asks instead. The version of his brother before him is hardly a kid anymore, looking somewhere between seventeen and eighteen; but that’s still his kid brother, no matter the age. Or universe. "You hurt your head? The batcave is the other way."
“Ah,” Damian says, quietly, as if to himself. He doesn’t spare them a glance as he starts walking towards Batcave entrance. “That’s quite peculiar. I’d have believed for the Detective to be less predictable. Odd.”
Dick’s spine goes rigid.
(Or the one where an older Damian visits them by accident and it had been a long long while since Dick had seen such blank stare in his brother's eyes. He soons finds out they weren't his brother's to begin with.)

Bruce felt ice rush through his veins, his heart dropping so hard it felt like it might not start again. He sat up out of bed and swung his legs onto the floor, slamming his bedroom door open and sprinting out of his bedroom towards the cave.
