Summary
Even with his back to his brother, Maedhros knew what he was preparing for. They both had one single thought on their minds. The only thing that was left to do. Just another step and the fiery mouth of the chasm would swallow Maedhros and put an end to his needless existence. His brother had chosen a different way to go, though no less cruel. Soon the damp ash and tepid water would fill up his lungs, and struggle as he might, he would still be pulled down to the black depths of Ulmo’s realm with the jewel in his charred fist.
After the Silmarils burn their hands, Maglor casts himself into the sea, while Maedhros is left to wander the world alone and in despair.

Their memories of their past lives having returned, they scramble to find their ways back to each other, try to keep their new families from killing each other, and maybe just redeem themselves along the way.

Summary
This is the story of one particularly grouchy son of Feanor, who has decided to leave his seaside moping and throw in his lot with the Rangers of the North. It features one murder son and his various issues, one very chill ranger, one elf who is doing his best to deal with his abandonment issues, lots of long conversations by firelight, bad decision making and even worse fashion choices. It's an unconventional ship, but that's what they said about the Titanic (probably) and that turned out fine!
