Summary
Zuko isn't asking her to marry him. He would never. Toph is just projecting a deeply hidden wish by assuming he is, and that's all. Obviously her many years of travel and independence left her wanting something more. That had to be the case. Because he wasn't asking her to marry him. And she would never consider accepting, either.
