    Summary

He rounded the corner towards the square right in front of the Temple– it was different than before because there had never been a square in front of the Temple.

Obi-Wan froze in place the moment he looked up. His eyes observed the large statues one by one.

Plo Koon, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto– they were all Councillors during the War.

Obi-Wan stood in front of the statues as tears welled up in his eyes. He hadn’t seen them in a long time and these statues looked exactly like them. From facial features and expression down to the way they were seated– as if they were in a regular Council meeting.

“Look Uncle Ben! It’s–” Obi-Wan leaped to Luke and covered his mouth before he could say anything else.

“Yes, I see, it’s General Kenobi.” He hoped the beings whose attention was drawn towards them would move on quickly. “But try not to shout, Luke, alright?”

His eyes left the boy to observe the statue of himself.

“Mistoffelees is stuck on the ceiling.”
    “He’s what now?”
    “He’s stuck on the ceiling.”

Magic needs practice. And, in especially dire situations, intervention from the outside.
(Although in retrospect, it's not quite as dire as Tugger made it seem.)

    Summary

Annabeth Chase always got what she wanted.

Even at the age of seven, armed with only her own single-minded determination and half-thought-out plans, she was convinced that there was more to her destiny then rotting away at Camp Half-Blood summer after summer.

She wanted to leave Camp. Go on quests. Lead quests. Prove her worth to the world. Face her destiny and fulfill her dreams of being an architect. Building monuments that would last a thousand years and making her mother proud!

And she'd done it all and then some. In fact, she was one of the greatest demigods of her time!

But now, she had a different type of war in front of her to plan for: The future.

She had the fame. The titles. The recognition. She'd survived three wars, encounters with four different pantheons, and still somehow managed to make it through high school. Now she wanted that fabled happy ending. She wanted the college degree. The house. And the husband.

And nothing was going to take that from her.

She should have known better than to tempt the Fates.

    Summary

Apollo had been young, still bitter from the fall of the Greek Pantheon when he had come across those eyes the first time. Deep inside the dark cave of his grandmothers last oracle, surrounded by dirt and death stood a painting that depicted the fall of Olympus. The thrones covered in ichor and blood and falling apart at the seams, the hearth nothing but ashes and embers, the floors cracked and the ceiling giving way and amidst it all was no god, Olympian or otherwise but a boy. Anything else of substance was too difficult to see but draped with red and gold, but those eyes filled with hatred and fear, he would recognize anywhere. Even 4000 years later, peeking through the bundle in his arms, the bundle that was his baby cousin, born against a sacred oath and most definitely the center of a prophecy that foretold their destruction.
    Or
The gods are the way they are for a reason but they still need to get their shit together and what better awakening than a war that's almost definitely going to get them all killed. All in all, the gods should have been more involved in the divine war against immortal beings older than them.
