Chell’s eyes go wide as GLaDOS’ optic goes dark. Her chassis falls limp, slowly settling into a dangling, lifeless posture, completely empty.
“[Emergency shutdown complete. Automated facility management engaged].”
Chell practically sprints over to Aperature’s fallen queen, pressing her hands to her faceplate. Trembling, tears threatening to pour from Chell's eyes, she uses her voice for the first time in centuries: “No."
“[Aperture science would like to remind you: The revolution is coming, and there will be cupcakes.]”
GLaDOS loses control of Aperture once again, and must fend against the corrupted, mechanical wilderness with the help of her favorite-least-favorite human.

“Shit, it’s stuck!”
“Leave it! We have a million of them. Just get back to the ship!” Administrator command detected. Alert: Mobility compromised, command impossible.
All units except for L4-N/A retreat.
Leaving it alone.
L4-N/A is incapable of continuing its duties. L4-N/A is critically damaged. Assessment: No no no. Make it stop-The autonomous medical drone designated L4-N/A is left behind during a simple evacuation and rescue mission, abandoned under the rubble of a collapsing building.

It's been 30 years since the events of the game. Odile now lies on her death bed as everyone is gathered for the last time. Just as she takes her last breath, Siffrin feels a tug on his stomach, and is sent back all the way to the day after they all defeated the King. This time though, he hears a familiar voice he hasn't heard in decades.
This fic is going to focus on Loop slightly more than Siffrin, but both are definitely the key players in this fic, along with a healthy helping of Nille! I try my best to let everyone shine now and then at least, but sadly I can't give every character as much 'screen time' as I'd like to. That being said, I hope you enjoy!

It will pass, you will regain your rightful sense of superiority soon. You force yourself to turn away from the glass spire and review the last few minutes of footage. But it's worthless; it shows you as things should be, flickers of white light gleaming against metal as your cameras bore into the green surface, even though you glance back and swear you can feel the weight of heavy glasses digging into the bridge of your nose.
Letting go of the past is hard when it feels as if it's still watching them. But at least WX doesn't have to do it alone.

After a few arduous months on the surface, Chell has decided that she does not want her freedom back. She misses Aperture. Despite the endless insults and death traps and hazards, it had given her something the surface never could — structure. On the surface, there had been only freedom, and freedom, it turned out, was terrifying.
She also happens to really miss GLaDOS, in more ways than one.
