Harry blinked once, then he blinked twice before he burst into a fit of roaring laughter that brought tears to his eyes. It took him a few minutes to calm himself, wiping his eyes of excess water he sobered and stared blankly at Death, “You mean to tell me, that goddamn Tom Marvolo fucking Riddle jr. is my soulmate? The same mass-murdering psychopath, who attacked an infant over a shitty prophecy that a drunk off her ass on cooking sherry, Sybill Trelawney projectile vomited into Albus Dumbledore’s ear? The same idiot Dark lord of the century, Lord bloody Voldemort?”

Eddie shuffles closer to him. Knows he shouldn’t, knows he should steer this somewhere neutral, somewhere more distant, something more akin to just checking in on a friend but he can’t, he can’t. Not when Steve’s looking bashful, not when he’s awkwardly picking up a bit of paper again and folding it anxiously, not when he smells like the sea on a summer’s day and honey-sweet all at once.
“Seriously Steve, this is cool. Maybe you could make something for a campaign? Figurines are expensive, and honestly some of these are better. We could paint them, too.”
Steve looks up at him then. Really looks, and Eddie’s heart gallops in his chest at the sight of those warm brown eyes.
“I made them all for you,” Steve murmurs.

Seconds from humping the bed out of sheer desperation, he forces himself out of bed. Stomps down the hallway to the phone, picks it up, dials the number for the Hideout.
“Eddie,” he croaks as soon as someone picks up. “Get Eddie, please.”
The desperation must’ve been clear in his voice, because there’s no questioning from the person at the other end. There’s a shuffle, a female voice yelling for Eddie, and then he’s there, his alpha’s on the other end of the phone.
“Hello?”
“Eddie,” Steve practically purrs.

Now Caroline has to navigate this and all the things that come with living in Mystic Falls. It would also really help if she could stop having weird dreams that would be great.

Eddie frowned and his head swivelled around when he heard the shout. Whoever that was, they didn’t sound happy.
He took a drag of his cigarette, before dropping it to the ground, scrubbing it with his foot, and started to move. Leaving behind the building’s shadow as he made his way further out into the parking lot, shifting between the parked cars of the Hideout as he followed the sound of angry voices.
He paused as he came around the side of a car, his surprise at the scene in front of him making him freeze, Steve Harrington was possibly the last person he expected to see in the Hideout’s parking lot at 11pm.
