    Summary

    Hero society is flawed. What was once a title of justice, of peace, had long since turned into a mockery of what it used to stand for. There are heroes who stalk the streets with vile intentions, and they get away with it. No one wants to believe that their heroes weren't infallible.

    But heroes were still human. They can make mistakes. They can be bad people.

    Stain saw that long ago. Fakes who wore the mantle for the vain purpose of power and glory didn't deserve to be heroes. The world turned a blind eye to the problems that plagued them. Stain had a vision; of a just world that gave meaning to the word of hero again.

    Izuku will help him achieve that world.

    After being betrayed, the person now known as Harvest was given a second chance at existence. No more would he be human, however. Harvest was reborn as a disembodied being and given access to a System the world has not seen in years, afforded the role of Patron, which allows him to share power with others to grow his own strength as well.

    He's going to need it.

    The world is full of dangers. Oppressive nobles, at the peak of power themselves, impose their will on others. The Church of the Broken Saints brutally suppresses any who seek power outside of their gods. The septs hold onto their power and war regularly. And monsters hunt and are hunted in kind. There is a kind of balance to the world, and Harvest's existence is going to disrupt it.

    But he won't be alone.

    Karina is the first to sign a contract, and with her will come others. Harvest must separate the wheat from the chaff, grow his newfound power, and shepherd his warlocks to greatness both for themselves and for his own goals. He has much to learn, both of the world and of who he once was.

Alec has a good view of Eliot's back on a lot of jobs, and he reads something in the tight line of Eliot's shoulder, in the slow turn of his foot as he steps into a fighting stance.

    Constantine should've known doing a favour for a guy like Batman would be a mistake.

    Jason todd never wondered why he had a white streak in his hair. It's just a side effect of the Pit... right?

    And Danny? He's just wondering who this death-kissed, almost-halfa man is that he keeps seeing around Gotham!

    Jason wonders much the same about the obviously-lazarus pit survivor that is Danny Janus Nightingale.
