"Geez, you're not nearly as tough as my Powder," Ekko chuckled as he finally released her, just as her head had started to loll and her vision had nearly gone black.
Jinx crumpled like a ragdoll, hitting the ground hard as she hungrily gasped for breath. Hot, shimmer-laced tears dripped down her face as she panted heavily, trying to catch her breath before he decided to start again. It took a while for his words to register with her oxygen-deprived brain.
