It’s the end of the week, and he’s gotten nowhere.
In which Will Byers has a reputation as a bit of a prude. But Mike Wheeler, a guitarist with distinctly the opposite sort of reputation, can't seem to stop thinking about him.

“You’re not listening to me, Mike,” he huffs. His gaze doesn’t translate annoyance, though.
Mike grabs Will’s hand again, “I’m sorry, baby, just,” he lets out a shaky breath. “You’re so pretty.”
“You and your love-pleading eyes,” Will smiles, getting more warm in the face, “I bet you don’t even know what I was saying.”
Mike bites his lower lip, guilty as charged. He tries to remember by doing what he was doing before: looking at his beloved’s lips.
“I don’t,” he whispers, not realizing that he has leaned in. “Tell me again.”
“You won’t listen,” Will murmurs back, not backing away. “And—I forgot, you made me forget.”

“Truth or dare?” Will asks Mike after he just told him something he has never said about his boyfriend out loud before. Which is that he snores like a hibernating bear.
Mike hums before answering, “Dare.”
Perfect.
Will looks up at the ceiling and hums like he’s thinking, like he doesn’t know exactly what he is going to make Mike do right now.
“I dare you to do thirty push-ups,” Mike’s eyebrows shot up. Will isn’t done yet, “And you have to say my name each time.”

Summary
Will lifts his eyes from the posters on his wall. He misses Bowie and The Cure during the split second his eyes take the road to Mike’s face. When they arrive at their destination, his heart trembles in his chest.
“I’m sorry,” he starts. Eyes still wide and sad. “Don’t be mad at me anymore, I can’t stand it.”
Maybe Will should feel bad for making his boyfriend go through such an emotional turmoil. But when Mike looks at him like this and uses this voice, he can’t hold himself back from enjoying all it. The concept of guilt be damned.
He has the audacity to push it too.

Mike’s expression softens. “No but—seriously, Will. He’d be stupid not to like you.”
He hopes the sincerity lands, because he means it. He just hates the thought of sharing Will with someone else. Hell, even Dustin and Lucas get on his nerves sometimes when they hog Will’s attention. Mike knows it’s a personal problem. He knows he should work on it. He just… hasn’t.
