Melkor is still settiling in to his solidified fana, after loosing all shape-shifting abilities. Worst of all, he now has a beating heart in his chest that first feels very unsettling. Hearts are for mortal beings, not Ainu. But Mairon's tender adoration inspires Melkor to confront his new fana and take a good look at that what is thumping inside his chest.

But his master had been defeated. And as he approached the camp raised by the host of the Valar, he felt, in the midst of his immense weariness, a faint stir of regret.

Set after the War of Powers. Melkor is to be chained in Mandos, but Namo seems not to be thrilled at the idea. After all, his Halls are about repentance and healing. So, a bit against the original verdict, he will keep Melkor in Mandos, but not chained. This clearly intrigues Melkor. And Namo, who is by himself in his Halls, will have to face some truths.
