Summary
Four years ago, Zanka was abandoned by the one person he trusted, abandoned into a life of hell to face all on his own. When his life as a runaway on the streets leads him into a suicide attempt, the very man who once abandoned him is pulled back into his orbit.
Enjin is trying his best to heal the wounds he unintentionally left on Zanka and repair the intense traumas the boy has endured, but he may be causing as much harm as good. When his secret life pulls his recovering friend back into a world he never wanted to be a part of, the strength of their bond is tested, and they’re forced to make compromises to keep each other close. Summary
Nighttime in the cities can be beautiful, but you can't appreciate it if you're lying in a hospital bed, next to the last survivor, spending your final moments. Kiriya Ubuyashiki, the last leader of the Demon Slayer Guild, is now lying in a hospital bed with no family members by his side. Most of them are too busy deciding how they're going to divide their inheritance. Naive children, his will is already written, you won't be able to spend anything unnecessarily. He's made sure to leave enough for many more generations. But right now, he feels weaker and weaker. As a child, he never thought he'd make it. He'll die of old age, not from the curse. What a joy.
"How long has it been since we defeated Muzan?" Even though he was running out of strength, he wanted to hear the answer one last time from the demon at his side.
"You know the answer, why do you keep asking?" Yushiro doesn't like drama or embellishments, he had made that clear for so long, but his voice, Kiriya could swear for a moment that he hesitated.

Summary
Zanka works himself rotten and a stranger catches him when he falls, taking care of him when he gets sick. He struggles with accepting the help given to him by this mysterious man, who so easily got through the meticulous walls he put up since he first learned about pain.
Who is Enjin? And what is he hiding behind that easy-going personality? Zanka has no clue, but the more time he spends with him, the more Zanka realizes that he doesn't want Enjin to leave his side.
