Halsin laughs at the boldness of this creature. Astarion's panting rings in his ear, and he can't help the stirring in his nethers. Halsin hums into the mic. "Exercise will help with that, as long as you don't overdo it. Leg day is all well and good until your legs tremble and give out." Lord, he wishes he could make Astarion's legs give out. Gale doesn’t know the words ‘humble’ or ‘modest’. Maybe it had been beaten out of both Gale and Tav. They aren’t imposing, either of them. It wouldn’t be out of the question for Gale to have been teased as the weakest alpha. Magiks and academics are often incorrectly attributed as omegan traits. Unless you greatly excel at it, which Gale does. Still, childhood days might have influenced his current behaviors.
Astarion unintentionally relaxes as he scrutinizes the Alpha. He snickers to himself at the thought of the Wizard being small-cocked or having an equally degrading feature. He wasn’t the peak physique. He isn’t hard on the eyes either. Soft looking but his beard cuts an appealing image and his hands are thick and strong.

Wyll’s question seems to break the haze Astarion has found himself in. Halting the noise in his blood. Pausing, cloak in hand. He is standing just outside of his tent, and which flaps are held wide. An organized pile of pillows, blankets, and cloth spills out. “I,” the question catches him off guard, “I don’t know.” Astarion uncharacteristically falters, focus drawn back to the cloak in hand. What is he doing?
It was obvious what the pale elf was doing to anyone who had observed the act in the past. It wasn’t that Wyll didn’t know so much as the great surprise at seeing their prickly companion doing so. Even he knows that nesting is a delicate topic. And that is a nest. At least, Wyll thinks so.

As he sank into bed that night, Takemichi understood that he technically HAD succeeded in his goal of saving Mikey. He'd prevented him from killing Kazutora, which he knew he'd regret.
And yet, because Baji had died, he still felt like he failed.
His mind kept running through the ways he could have done things differently; he could have called an ambulance as soon as he suspected Baji had been stabbed, he could have swapped places with Chifuyu, he could have twisted his position so that he had gotten stabbed in Baji's place.
"Hey! There's no real point in focusing on "what-ifs" and I sure as hell don't want an outcome where YOU might have ended up dead instead."
Takemichi had to admit that that was true. He hadn't really thought of what might happen if he got killed in the past. Plus, given how much Toman meant to Baji, he surely wouldn't have wanted someone else to die in his place.
