Cullen was almost startled by how sincerely he meant it. It seemed Anders felt the same. His mouth hung open in surprise for a moment before a radiant smile split his face. Even his eyes seemed to shine, and in the pale autumn light streaming through the window, he seemed to glow. Cullen's throat became tight, and his chest warmed as if Anders' hands had lit a flame between his lungs. For one beautiful ridiculous moment he had the insane urge to reach across the desk and touch Anders, rules be damned.
(Cullen and Anders meet and fall in love before Broken Circle. Then everything falls apart, but they put each other back together again.)

Fenris stopped Anders from making the worst mistake of his life that day in the courtyard, but now he doesn't want that life, doesn't feel entitled to any part of it and he's just... sort of trying to die, without bothering anyone. Simply slip away. Only Fenris won't allow that. He offers to end it for him, clean death if Anders will stay with him in the mansion for one week. Seven days living with the elf won't change the mage's mind... right?
CW:: Eating disorder, suicidal ideation and planning.

Anders is a resident at a hospital in Minrathous, struggling with his medical school debts, the grueling hours of his job, a haunting whisper in his soul that never rests, and a debilitating crush on his new friend, Dorian.
Dorian is a newly appointed Magister in the Tevinter Magisterium, struggling with the expectations of his station, the recent death of his father, the weight of guilt and grief which came with it, and an absolute need of a hug.

Summary
Merril has become something of a community figure in the Alienage. People come to her for help; to learn about the traditions of the Dalish or, sometimes, simply to talk. Recently, she has acquired a kitten.
Anders has been keeping more and more to himself. He is working himself ragged in his clinic, his spirits are weighed down by the problems that plague Kirkwall, and his temper is growing ever shorter. He needs help that he isn't asking for. Merril invites him to come look in on her new kitten, and, maybe, to talk.There is only the vaguest hint of Fenders setup, don't get too excited. When I write more of this it will be a very slow burn.
