As I commented on the original post:
I trust John to find a way to make some fun with most mundane objects. I'm not saying he'll always do it; I just think he can.

Summary
This series contains two related ficlets. Both are set in the canon Stargate AU from the episode "The Road Not Taken", but take place before that episode, and, in fact, before that reality's Sam and Rodney were divorced. They are inspired by two incidents in the show. The first is how happy pre-divorce Sam looks in the picture shown to Lorne, and the second is this exchange from the tail end of the episode:
CARTER: Wow. I guess they must've realized I'm more trouble than I'm worth.
MCKAY: Hmph. I remember I said the same thing the day we got divorced.- Words:

Summary
First off, after rewatching this episode, there were so many holes in it, it wasn’t funny. #1 was we never did find out who killed the marine in the first place. #2 was the fact that there were cameras noted at the climax, but they never used them to find out just who was shooting in the building that sent them there? And so on.
The comment in the episode from Gibbs to Vance was it would be done by the book, but it wasn’t because he was involved with the investigation in the first place. This is my answer to that mess.

Summary
Tony hearkened back his first time bringing up the fact that the team’s lab person, Sciuto, wasn’t qualified to handle everything they came across. No one person was, and that was school classes delved into specialized classes later on when the mandatories were over. Yet everyone treated her as though she could do everything, including saving the DC branch money by being the only one to be in the labs as LABBY. Therefore, she was allowed to get away with being “eccentric”. When all she was doing was breaking every lab protocol every day just with the way she dressed. Let alone how she never locked her lab up. Or stopped guests that did not wear gowns or gloves, or hair covers in her lab. Destroying any sanitation protocol in her lab as she never worn hair coverings either. Or properly covered herself with a closed lab coat.

He Lived. That’s all Gibbs could say on the whole things with Atlas, Sorry McGee, you don’t get the job because the guy you were to replace lived. Then Kate had to just come out and state the obvious that he needed a shower because he stank and he almost snapped at her that he had been in a sewer as a kidnap victim. But he kept his mouth shut and just grabbed his spare clothes, then over to Balboa’s second in command and to the elevator to get her to take him to the ER to be checked out. There was no way right now he was trusting anyone there that was friends with Gibbs to have information about his health.

Summary
Fear and panic hit harder than when Sonny had a gun on his head and Mike tried to talk him out of blowing his brains out for being a cop. All because Gibbs had to get the bastard NOW instead of waiting till all the tests were in and insisted on confronting him onboard a flight that was going to be a night jump flight. Getting him tossed out of the plane. At night. On the very first time he had ever gone, not jumped, out of a perfectly good airplane. And with a ‘chute he was praying was packed okay.
