He Lived

Summary:

He Lived. That’s all Gibbs could say on the whole things with Atlas, Sorry McGee, you don’t get the job because the guy you were to replace lived. Then Kate had to just come out and state the obvious that he needed a shower because he stank and he almost snapped at her that he had been in a sewer as a kidnap victim. But he kept his mouth shut and just grabbed his spare clothes, then over to Balboa’s second in command and to the elevator to get her to take him to the ER to be checked out. There was no way right now he was trusting anyone there that was friends with Gibbs to have information about his health.

He Lived

In fact, he put it right on his intake forms that Ducky wasn’t to have access to his medical information on threat of a lawsuit because Ducky was like Ollivander in Harry Potter, he was just so happy to let everyone know private information despite doctor/patient confidentiality. And he was all set to do what Gibbs thought was right about Tony’s health even if it was against Ducky’s oaths.

He was put in observation overnight then released to his home for three days off with a note faxed straight to HR and Morrow. And Gibbs on his phone within an hour of his getting home to tell him to get his ass to work he had slacked off long enough. He hung up on him and put a chair under the doorknob while calling in the locksmith to change his locks again. They called Morrow yet again to transfer him off the team to elsewhere. Same shit different day as he was turned down again. Instead, he emailed in his PTO time for health reasons to Deloris for his two months off that was owed to him and packed up while the locksmith changed his locks and his cop neighbor who was on graves arrested Gibbs for Disturbing the Peace. From what Tony understood, he got the book thrown at him and Morrow was trying to get it knocked down as just a misunderstanding. The local LEOs hated Gibbs and his attitude as did the local DA so Tony wished him well on that. Especially since the last he heard they were pulling out those driving tickets they had had to set aside and using those to show he was a threat to the public, this little episode at Tony’s was just icing on the shit cake he made himself.

When Morrow tried to force the issue of his not taking his vacation and PTO time for health reasons, Tony was sick and tired of making everything about Gibbs’ needs and forced Morrow to try to explain himself to the Federal Employee Union Representative Tony sicced on him.
He got his full time off with full pay and Gibbs was forced to finally go in for his actual psych exam that wasn’t done by his good friend and ME, Ducky. He was forced to retire for medical reasons not long after that as he had refused to cooperate with the doctors. Leaving for Mexico where Tony casually mentioned to his contacts down there through Mike, that he was there.

He and Franks disappeared soon afterwards.
Oh, darn.
Tony, himself, didn’t have the full qualifications for SSA yet so he allowed himself to go Afloat for six months to get what he needed then transferred to the Violent Crimes Unit as SSA to replace the one who was heading out to Chicago. Kate didn’t even last three weeks on another team before she was sanctioned then fired for her attitude and disappeared from Federal Service once and for all. And McGee was just sent back to Norfolk as the teams in DC would use the base’s Cyber units for anything they would need without calling on him.
