Summary
Mi-yeong vanished before Celine ever got to see the baby they were going to raise. All she knows is, years later, Celine felt Mi-yeong's death. She never found out why.
In the future, Celine has managed to find Mira and Zoey, but never their third hunter. Mira and Zoey eventually had to debut as a duo. After so long, the two of them had started to wonder if they were ever going to find their third.
Then one day, the Honmoon began to ripple in pain despite no tears, leading them to a man who claims his cult captured a demon. They did not expect, upon investigating said cult, that the kinda-demon they held was- somehow- their third hunter.
OR; the AU where Rumi was not raised by Celine. She grew up alone and confused in the foster system, not knowing what she was or why she could see things others couldn't, and all the troubles that come with it.

It was a tiny room, honestly, much smaller than she was used to, but she wasn't going to complain if for no other reason than to rub it in Mira's face a little.
"Uh Rumi?" Zoey rested her chin on Rumi's shoulder, "There's only one bed."
There was a certain glee to Zoey's voice that went over Rumi's head as something like panic seized her.
Or there's only one bed and Rumi has to figure out how to keep her patterns hidden.

Summary
Rumi's eyes jumped from Zoey to Mira. This was normally when Mira would swoop in to wrap Zoey up in a hug. But she didn't. Mira just stood there, arms crossed, glaring at Rumi. Zoey was full on sobbing now, hiding her face in her hands, drenching her shirt. Zoey's desperate slurred speech gave way to wild choked breathing. She was crying so hard now she could hardly breathe. Zoey, the ball of endless energy; Zoey, with the world's biggest smile - seeing her like this, broken and caving in on herself was too much. Something inside Rumi snapped and she rushed over to Zoey wrapping the smaller girl up in her arms.
Like a little sobbing koala bear Zoey latched onto Rumi's and buried her face into Rumi's shirt. A moment later Mira was there, wrapping her arms around both of them. And when Rumi met Mira's gaze she was shocked to see Mira's eyes were glazed over.
In the smallest whisper possible Mira said, "please don't leave. Whatever it is I'll fix it, just don't go. I don't want to be alone again.
