Someone, at some point, had turned off all the lights in the hotel room, had even drawn the blackout shades to block out the lights of the city. It was dark, and he was dancing. Dancing with someone. Not a group, someone specific. He had his hands on their waist, there were arms around his neck, he could feel their body pressed in close to his. Oh, God. Fuck.
“Eddie.”
“Yeah?”
“I think I-I might have—have cheated on Tommy.”
Eddie knows he kissed someone at the bachelor party. Buck knows he danced with someone. The problem is, they were both too drunk to remember who. Until the next time it happens.

“I just don’t see what the big deal is,” Chimney says, joining them at the table. “Why don’t you just go on the trip, Buck? Take Eddie. We can get your shifts covered, it’s, what—three nights?”
“The big deal,” Buck says in exasperation, slamming his fork down, “is that it’s a couples retreat. For couples.”
“And?” Chimney raises his eyebrows, still not buying it.
“And I entered the giveaway when Tommy and I were still together!” Buck snaps. ”I don’t want t-to—it would just feel weird, okay? It’s supposed to be all—like, romantic. Flower petals on the bed and stuff.”
Buck and Eddie take a romantic getaway. Platonically.

"Stop saying ass."

or...Finally together, Buck and Eddie navigate their developing relationship. Eddie’s laughter at the thought of sex and Chris’s passive aggressive mixed signals don’t help a spiraling Buck’s mourning of an imagined loss of friendship. Meanwhile, Eddie comes to terms with his identity and it means for him. Featuring too much information shared during wine nights, zoo trips with a gaggle of kids, and an exhausted Ravi.

“I’m not avoiding you.”
Eddie lets out a dry laugh, which sounds strained and fake in his ears. He looks around the room pointedly, before looking back at Buck, eyebrows raised. “You’re hiding in a supply closet.”
“Can’t a man want a few minutes of privacy?” Buck asks, defensively, eyes narrowing slightly in defiance, jutting his chin out slightly.
Or, Eddie notices Buck's been avoiding him, and confronts him in a storage closet at work. Things escalate rather quickly.
