Someone, at some point, had turned off all the lights in the hotel room, had even drawn the blackout shades to block out the lights of the city. It was dark, and he was dancing. Dancing with someone. Not a group, someone specific. He had his hands on their waist, there were arms around his neck, he could feel their body pressed in close to his. Oh, God. Fuck.
“Eddie.”
“Yeah?”
“I think I-I might have—have cheated on Tommy.”
Eddie knows he kissed someone at the bachelor party. Buck knows he danced with someone. The problem is, they were both too drunk to remember who. Until the next time it happens.

Eddie lets out a dry laugh, which sounds strained and fake in his ears. He looks around the room pointedly, before looking back at Buck, eyebrows raised. “You’re hiding in a supply closet.”
“Can’t a man want a few minutes of privacy?” Buck asks, defensively, eyes narrowing slightly in defiance, jutting his chin out slightly.
Or, Eddie notices Buck's been avoiding him, and confronts him in a storage closet at work. Things escalate rather quickly.

“Right,” Buck nods. “For research.”
They turn back to the TV, sipping beers and spooning dessert, room quiet save for the telenovela playing. Buck, gun to his head, could not tell you who or what is on the screen right now. The brave, strong part of his brain has surrendered shamefully, white flag hoisted while the rest of his brain—stupid, stupid—hosts a skillfully imagined supercut of his best friend kissing men. It’s surprisingly new subject matter for him. What’s unsurprising is his distaste for every conjured scenario, discarding each indistinguishable stranger until the reel buffers on something more… familiar.
“Well—”
Eddie waits a patient minute for Buck to continue before asking, “Well, what?”
“I just mean—if it’s just a kiss, right.” Buck pauses. “You could, uh. You could try it with me.”

"There's no one else." The words were soft and hollow, and the air around Bruce smelled bitter.
That should have been the moment Clark accepted Bruce's answer and let the subject drop. Bruce wasn't angry or disappointed that Clark had found out something that was meant to stay hidden, and that alone was enough to ease the weight pressing on Clark's chest.
Still…
"I… I'm an alpha," he heard himself say. "If you ever need someone to help you through your heats, you can rely on me."
(Or, it starts with Clark helping Bruce through his heats. It ends with something else entirely.)

He’s so struck by the color, the contrast, the face, that he can’t really pick out the details in the designs at first.

A year ago at that bachelor party, so drunk he was draped across Buck’s lap with his nose buried in all the intoxicating silky heat beneath the notch of Buck’s jaw, Eddie asked Buck what he smelled like to him.
It’s not a question you’re supposed to ask, but Eddie forgets the rules sometimes. Ignores them. Things like that don’t matter between him and Buck, they never have.

But Buck had taken Eddie’s jaw in one hand, had tipped his head back so the line of his neck was bared to Buck like an offering, had stopped to scent him with his mouth still open, had said against Eddie’s sweat-tacky skin, so low his voice thrummed in his chest, You’re the sweetest thing I’ve ever met.
