She doesn’t notice Dr. Shen immediately. He’s standing quietly to her left, sipping on his iced coffee. Mel needs to finish her song before she can talk to him, especially since she knows she won’t get to go through a full song until shift is over.
She watches him though, and it’s familiar but still surprising to recognize that he’s doing the same thing she is.
He's resetting.

Summary
...
"“I’ll do it.” Jack said, pressing the crosswalk button, but Robby gave a harsh laugh.
“What am I, five? I can get my own damn keys. Besides--” he locked eyes with his friend, face serious-- “no offense, brother, but I know your leg must be hurting. Come on.”
He hated how Jack was staring at him, brows furrowed slightly and that slight tension in his mouth that meant he wasn’t pleased with what he saw. Robby felt another wave of annoyance wash over him, though it was accompanied by fear prickling at the back of his neck. Jack looked far too serious, like he was seeing the decision for the life or death one it was. He held his gaze, hoping he was maintaining his playfully exasperated face well, and he saw the small exhalation as Jack gave in.
“Fine. Be back in five, though, or I’m coming in.”"...
or; Robby jumps out of a window after the PittFest shift. The ED is left to try to put him back together again.
