"The first time Will really noticed it was when he was nine and quarters mysteriously found their way into his pocket at the arcade.
He had left Mike alone with his jacket and returned from the bathroom with two whole dollars more than he'd started with in his jacket pocket. Will had looked at Mike suspiciously, but his friend had insisted that he didn't know what Will was talking about.
The next time they were at the arcade, Will was prepared. He had counted his money three times before he left his house and kept track throughout the day. Then, during an intense round of Space Invaders, Will had felt Mike bump his arm. He hadn't thought anything of it in the moment, distracted by the game. But the next time that Will shoved his hand into his pocket, he found seven new quarters waiting for him.
He was sure then: Mike was secretly slipping him quarters."

Summary
He sighed as he stepped back into the faint moonlight. His watch blinked 1:32 am, much too late for a pretty little thing like Will to still be up and out of bed.
He waved at the younger to get his attention before opening the door. His green eyes were still wide and scared, hands tightly together on his lap. Mike crouched down to be at eye level with him, even though his knees cracked as he did so.
"House is all clear. Nothing was disturbed, everything is safe. You are free to go back to bed." He spoke, his tone soft.
Will nodded, but his face seeped with color and his eyebrows knitted together, "I-I'm sorry, I wasted your time. I just got scared—this is embarrassing."
Mike shook his head with a click of his tongue.
"Absolutely not. You did not waste my time. This is my job."

The vision dissolved, leaving only red and rot.
“I can give you one.”
Will’s breath hitched. His heart hammered against the vine wrapped over it.
He leaned in, voice low, almost tender. “Come with me. Be at my side. In my world. You and I, together.”
Will stared at him “What?” The word came out flat, disbelieving. “I don't understand. Why would you drop your plans for that?”
Vecna’s mouth twitched.
“Because I want you. I am offering you a life.” He leaned closer.
“My world. My throne.” His voice dipped. “My side. My hand. I want you to belong to me in every way a person can belong to another.”
What if Henry had given Will another choice to save his friends? How would they react when Will tells them about his offer? A rework of Will's coming out scene with a smaller audience and Byler endgame.

“Alright,” Max murmured. “I’m starting. Harrington. Discuss.”
Will made a happy, breathy sound. “Oh my God,” he whispered. “Steve is so….”
“So what?” Max pressed, already laughing. “Come on, out with it!”
Will sighed. “So, so dreamy.”
Lucas’s shoulder bumped Mike’s.
Max snorted, pleased. “Thank you!”
Will kept going, words spilling out now that he’d started. “It’s the hair and that stupid jacket.” He laughed, then dropped his voice. “Also, he’s got huge hands.”
Mike scowled.
Lucas’ shoulders shook beside him, silent laughter vibrating the floor. He leaned in and whispered, “Huge hands, huh.”
Mike hissed, “Shut up.”
Max, meanwhile, sounded delighted. “He totally does. Also, I saw him a few years ago with his shirt off and, oh my God!”
Mike side-eyed Lucas. From the face he was making, it looked like he didn’t think the situation was so funny anymore. Hmph.
After Stacey’s party, the gang ends up at the Wheeler house for an unplanned sleepover. Mike and Lucas eavesdrop on Max and Will’s “girl talk” and stumble into a confession Mike was never meant to hear.
