Shortly after Queen of the Damned and 'The Devil's Minion', Armand's left alone and desolate in Night Island, his only fledgling having abandoned him. Thankfully, Louis still holds enough affection for the vampire he once found in Paris to help him through.
I couldn't find any fics that extrapolated on missing scenes of Louis and Armand’s companionship between Night Island and the forming of their home in Trinity Gate. This fic fills that gap.

Armand has apparently discovered a laundromat. One of those 24-hour joints, with stacks of extra-large machines with chipped white paint, benches polished by millions of asscheeks, and an obligatory flickering fluorescent bulb. A classic. Brings back memories of getting kicked out of the house by a soon-to-be ex-wife. Twice.
“Okay?” Daniel says, after a moment passes and Armand is still glued to the window, staring with those big lemur eyes of his.
“Let’s go inside.”
See, Daniel should have known he didn’t just mean inside the building.
Or: Armand discovers a laundromat and decides to have a spa day; Daniel almost manages not to get in trouble.
