Summary
Seeing the words laid out like that so bluntly makes his heart ache. Eddie wishes he could have courted Steve properly, perhaps met him at a barn dance, chatting over cider and sneaking outside for a stolen kiss. To hold his hand and scent at his hair, only to walk him home and ask permission to call on him as is decent.
But here he is proposing marriage in a telegram after receiving exactly one beautifully penned letter. He knows so little about this young omega, and yet his pulse races at the thought of meeting him. It could very well be fear; anxiety over making so hasty a decision, to offer his hand so quickly without exchanging more letters or requesting a photograph, something to build a foundation upon before committing ‘til death do they part.

Summary
Steve and Eddie are children in 1871, survivors of a shipwreck, living alone on an island paradise. It’s hard, but the boys look out for each other and survive. They share everything, always together, running around the island half-naked because it is hot in the sunshine and there is no one to scold them. Propriety doesn’t matter, at least for the first couple years.

Summary
In a society where Omegas are the dominant secondary gender, it's not uncommon for Alphas to compete for their attention, showering them with gifts and trying to prove their worth.
For Eddie Munson, presenting as an Omega has been nothing but a pain in the ass. All the Alphas who used to push him around and call him a freak are now falling all over themselves trying to court him. As if he could forget the years of bullying they put him through.
Is there a single Alpha in all of Hawkins who can crack through his icy exterior and thaw his cold, dead heart? He sure has hell doesn't think so.

“That’d be amazing. Way better than standing in the doorway,” Steve agreed with a little laugh. He felt almost giddy and knew his hopes were too high, but he couldn’t help it. It felt like he was getting one last chance to prove to the universe that he could do this, that he could make a sale, that he could keep going.
Eddie moved aside to let him in and took a quick glance along the street again before shutting the door.
He locked it, too.
