Despite the fact that his face is bloated and dirty, his hair is oily, sweaty, and sticks to his skull like limp spaghetti, and he looks like complete shit, you can't help but admire his beauty.
TYPICAL: That's your problem. You only want horrible, ugly things.

“You're fucking insane,” Jean says, laying on your couch. His hips are up on the armrest and he stares toward the ceiling, his head in the divot of your usual spot. The radio drones in the background with whatever station Jean decided to pick. It's mellow, but gentle instead of sad.
You sit on the floor, like you often do when you're drunk. Or high. Or drunk and high, like now with the fading effects of pyrholidon chased by cheap beer and tequila Jean grabbed on his way.
“You're fucking crazy,” you respond. The words are distant.

You know the moment you see him. Sure, the bottle in his hand is a hint, but he moves in large, erratic movements, walking like he’s wading through water. You don’t even care. You’re a little drunk yourself, and you refuse to think about what happened at the Precinct today.
Fuck this. It’s not your job to baby Harry anymore. He’s an adult who can make his own choices, even if that’s mixing ketamine with alcohol. And you can make your own choices, too. Like mixing ketamine with alcohol.

Summary
After Addison, Arthur and John didn't go to New York - they just went home, and set up shop in as PIs in Arkham. Now several months later, having completed work for a wealthy client, they find themselves invited to a fancy dinner party with New England's elite occultists. But among the rich and famous diners are two unexpected guests: "Andrew" Larson, Arthur's one time nemesis, and Peter Yang, back from the dead but not quite right. After an awkward dinner, and an introduction to a mysterious supernatural artifact, a corpse is discovered. It's up to Arthur and John to solve the murder and stop the artifact before it unleashes its eldritch magic on them all.
Or is it? Maybe instead, Arthur and Peter fool around in the back room and they miss the drama. Maybe Arthur and John can stop the murder entirely. In this Choose Your Own Adventure there are multiple endings and more than one way to make it to midnight.

“You want him,” the King said and the amusement in his voice had turned dark, cruel. “His body, his mind, whatever pathetic thing of him you are convinced is worthy of anything like that. This can be arranged."
