Summary
After the events of War Crimes, Sokka and Zuko have escaped Zhao’s warship and are fleeing across the Earth Kingdom. As well as unfamiliar terrain, they have to navigate their shared trauma, work out where they fit into the war, and their place in each others lives.
Sokka is aware that being friends with the enemy is going to bring complications, but he probably should have guessed that being friends with Zuko in particular, was going to be a bit like dunking your head repeatedly into a bucket of angry Fire Ferrets.
Katara is also grappling with the confusion of befriending an enemy, something that doesn’t prove as difficult as she had expected with the bond of shared, furious grief bridging old wounds. (Learning a new way to look at her bending doesn't hurt either)
Azula, struggling with the Fire Lord’s mistrust, encounters a few nasty surprises and has to make some difficult decisions. Luckily, she is a great deal better at making sensible choices than her brother.
Her father may have made a slight tactical error.

Summary
In the aftermath of the Clone Wars, Palpatine dead and untold tragedy averted, the Republic struggles to heal and rebuild itself.
Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi attempt to do the same with their own relationship, riddled as it has become with betrayal, distrust, and hurt. It's not going too well. Desperate and unwilling to accept that maybe their friendship is ruined, Anakin finds a counselor they can talk to, one that specializes in healing "teams."
Or, as the counselor would probably put it, married couples, which they are decidedly not. Not that she knows that though. And not that they know that she thinks they're in a romantic relationship either. What a silly assumption to make. It's not like they're more intimate than lovers or anything.

A weight kicked him down just as he’d pulled himself up. Obi-Wan fell back onto the ground, face in the dust and belly pressed down flat. There was a boot on his back. A hand, gloved in black leather, slid up the nape of his neck and threaded itself in his hair before it yanked. Despite being held down, Obi-Wan was forced to crane his neck back to meet the Sith’s eyes behind his mask.
“Resistance is futile.” The man said, and there arrived the inevitable. The glass in his mind shattered, the last of his shields collapsing in one fell swoop. Vader dove into the fortress of his mind much like a lothwolf striking for the kill. Teeth to jugular. Fresh blood.
[Jedi Initiate Obi-Wan Kenobi wakes up on a mysteriously desolate planet, wearing clothes too-big for his frame and a lightsaber in his pocket. He is soon greeted by a monster, a man cloaked in machinery and darkness. The fight that ensues is not a battle but a predator playing with his prey.]
